Mayesbrook Arena Update

Although it has been confirmed that the developments at the Mayesbrook Arena are to go ahead, the Club has been assured that facilities to be demolished including the Clubhouse and the Pavilion will be replaced. Further detail is awaited once the specification and build plan have been completed.

The Club Management Committee has decided that the Club will withdraw from the Southern Women’s League and the Southern Men’s League in 2011 and will join the newly formed Southern Athletics League. This new body will provide joint women’s and men’s competition as against the SWL/SML format of single fixtures involving women and men separately.

Boxing Day Handicap

The Club’s traditional Boxing Day Handicap will take place on December 26th starting at 11.00am in Rise Park, Romford. The handicap is based on road race performances (5k to 10k) and/or previous times in the event. There is a voluntary donation from competitors to St Francis Hospice. All HMAC athletes and members of other clubs over the age of 16 are welcome.
