The combined senior ladies & U15 team made a solid start to the summer 2010 season when placing fifth in the Alpha Trophy at Lee Valley on Saturday 17th.

There were three senior victories as Bethan Siddons made a successful comeback from long-term injury to win the high jump with a 1.60m clearance, while B successes came from Claire Brennan's B 400m hurdles PB run and busy Zoe Young's B javelin win.

Laura Bealey was second in the 400m, third in the hurdles equivalent, and ran a 200m PB.  Kike Oniwinde was second in the javelin and Nina Brenan was third in the B 400m and sister Claire added a sprint hurdles third place. Hannah Connor bagged a pair of fourth places in 100m and long jump. The young middle distance quartet of Ingrid Deane (u20) and Patsy McWeeney (u17) - 1500m and Rachel Sadler and Shannon Sullivan (both U17 - 800m) did well as did u20 Katherine Knight (discus).

Georgie Taylor starred for the U15s winning the discus with a massive PB of 31.84m, fifth best ever by a club U15, and javelin of 24.47, sixth best ever as well as shot runner up.  Lydia Hallam provided the track best result with a dominant 1500m victory in a new PB of 4:57.36 cracking the 5 minute barrier for the first time. Avril Loynes scored good points with second in the discus, third in shot & 1500m.

Tomi Akingbade and Bathany Chambers both had busy afternoons with their best results being fourth in high jump and 200m respectively. Francesca Smith (800m) Nicole Blunt (LJ< hurdles & 800m) and Mercy Gutteridge (100m) complete the team
