A
depleted girls and boys under 17 team competed in their last eastern young match
of the season. Already guaranteed a place in the trophy final at Bedford we were
not in a position to win the league this year.
In the girls u13s Natasha
White won both the 100m and 200m, Ingrid Deane won the 800m, Bethan Siddons won
the high jump, Nicola Hill and Lauren Newton won both the A and B shot.
In the u15s Lucy Sargent
won both the 100m and long jump, Lauren Clark won the 800m, Hayley Charman had
two wins in the 800m and discus, there were also wins for Lisa Schofield discus,
Vicky Smith 1500m and Robyn Matson.
In the under 17's Danielle
Ross had two wins in the hurdles and long-jump, Clare Sargent won the hurdles
and Carmel Munson won the Javelin.
In the U13 boys twin
brothers B. Tungatt and S. Tungatt doubled up to win the A and B 800m. Nat
Senior had two wins in the high-jump and the long-jump.
In the U15's Ashley Reece
and Paul Andrews won both the 1500m A and B. Marc Stearne won both
the shot and discus Christian Newton won the discus and M. Tyler the Javelin.
In the U17's Luke Stott
won the 200m, Daryl Rogers and Dane O’Hara won the 400m A and B, Scott
Keating won the high-jump.
In the end a disappointing last match, so we go to Bedford in September to stop Milton Keynes doing the double.
