Having narrowly lost the Eastern Young League to Bedford, Havering youngsters where determined to prevent them doing the double.

The lead changed hands often during the closely fought afternoon with Havering only just establishing a 7 point lead going into the relays. Havering triumphed by 5.5 points from Chelmsford & Bedford who tied for 2nd place, with Herts Phoenix and Basildon not far behind.

As usual the U15 Girls dominated their age group but the others found victories difficult to come by.

U17 Men

Scott Keating managed 2 victories in the High Jump and B string Long Jump. Joe Golding won a storming 800m in 2m 01.19s, followed by 2nd in the 400m in 53.70s. Terry O'Leary picked up valuable points with three 2nds in the Discus, Shot & Javelin.

U15 Boys

Star performer in this age group who followed up an impressive 800m victory in a new pb of 2m 04.65s with a win in the 400m and 2nd in the High Jump. Ross Clarke also managed a win in the B string 800m and a 2nd in the 1500m. Anthony Williams also picked up valuable points with victories in the Hurdles & High Jump (B String).

U13 Boys

The middle distance boys gave notice that they  will be a force to reckon with during the forthcoming Cross Country season. Matt Bloy and Joe Webster impressed winning the A & B string 800m, with Steve Maclachlan & Grant Twist teamed up to win the 1500m. Meanwhile on the field Bradley Reece rounded off a good season with a club discus record.

U17 Women

Chloe Van Wulven showed her class winning the 80m Hurdles in 12.1s, supported by Danielle Ross winning the B string. Chloe went onto win the High Jump and 200m, with Danielle winning the B string shot and coming 2nd in the B string Discus. Katie O'Sullivan was Havering's only other winner in the B string High Jump.

U15 Girls

Lucy Sargent impressed dominating the 100m (12.66s), 200m (25.73s), Long Jump (5.28m) followed by a superb bend in the relay to help the sprint relay team to victory!

Lucy was ably supported by Lauren McVicar who also won the B string 100m & 200m, followed by 2nd in the Javelin and a storming last leg in the relay. Lisa Schofield had a splendid double victory in the Hurdles & Long Jump, plus a leg in the relay team. Katie Richardson won the 1500m before joining the three above to win the relay.

U13 Girls

In Frankie Calder Havering seem to have found another new talent. In only her 2nd event for the club she won both the 100m & 200m in impressive style. Ingrid Deane won a high class 800 in a new PB of 2m 26.4s, with less than a second covering the first 4 runners.
