Eastern Counties Cross Country Championships,

Colchester Sunday 28th November

HMAC young athletes dominated the Eastern Cross Country Championships at Colchester on Sunday winning three team and two individual gold, three silvers and three bronze medals.

Hoseah Gikungu was 49 seconds clear in the U17 Men's event with Massi Dendani third and Tom Davies completing the gold medal winning trio. The B team of Chris Hyde, Ross Earney & Tom Brown won team silver.

Lydia Hallam edged victory in the U15 girls race and fifth and sixth places for Lindsay McLachlan and Francesca Smith won team gold, with Avril Loynes & Rebecca Ward also in action.

Sarah Wilson's individual bronze led the U13 girls to victory as Heidi Surman-Wells (6th) and Jess Ward (11th) completed the team with Amy Baggs 12th.  More silver service came from Robert Woodgate’s runners up spot for the U13 Boys with Sam Hurley 7th and from the U15 boys' trio of Nick Shade (5th), James Kidd (8th) and Andrew Holland (9th) who were also second. Becky Stanley won bronze in the U17W race.
