There was a full set of medals - gold-silver and bronze - and another new club record as club athletes contested the England Athletics U15 & U17 Championships at Bedford this weekend.

Josh Olawore went one better than his English Schools silver when he dominated the Under 15 boys triple jump. He recorded six jumps between his opener 12.70m and his winning 12.92m to win by 47 cms and turn the tables on English Schools Champion Efe Uwaifo (Harrow).

Kike Oniwinde added almost two metres to her PB and club U17 & U20 javelin records with 45.60m for the fifth longest ever by a UK U17 women as winner Freya Jones threw close to 50m - the second longest ever by an U17. Kike is now under one metre short of Louise Mathews' club senior record.

Danny Wilson had already added two metres to his U15 discus PB to exceed 40m for the first time but he was still back in fourth place as he stepped into the circle for his final round throw. His last-gasp effort spun out to another PB of 40.58m to earn him U15 discus bronze and also lifted him to second on the club all-time U15 list.

Jack Edgar-Hill & Holly Thomas both made U17 hurdles finals, finishing fourth & third respectively to improve on their English Schools placings. Jack clocked his second fastest ever time of 13.47s to equal his best placing in a national final while Holly, who has another year in the year group, was a good heat winner before finishing fifth in the final. 

Three other club athletes finished outside the top eight. Ellie Bounds was sixth in her u17 800m heat, Sophie Baggs was 11th in the U17 discus and Rylie Trott was fourth in her u15 75m hurdles heat.
