Havering Mayesbrook notched up four individual and three team wins in the second round of the Essex League today. Sunny conditions again greeted the competition held on the difficult, hilly course at Gloucester Park, Basildon

Debbie Sullivan (pictured) led home the senior ladies to a team victory, winning comfortably from Ilford's Karen Sindall, who had claimed the honours in the first round. Laurie Cossey (6th) and Hayley Hawes (9th) also made the top ten, with Nikki Barnett in 11th completing the scoring four to give the team a winning total of 27 points. Veterans Lesley Felton (13th) and team manager Ruth O'Sullivan (23rd) also finished. |

Katie Richardson (see left) and Lauren Clark made it a one-two for the Havering Mayesbrook squad as the u13 girls claimed the team prize. Richardson, who just grabbed the first round race in the final strides, made no mistake this time, coming home a massive 27 seconds ahead of her teammate Clark, who improved from fourth last time out. With Georgina Clark in 12th and Hayley Thomas 20th the team's 35 point total was good enough to win, while the B team of Claire Robinson (21st), Lauren McVicar (23rd), Lee Glover (31st) and Rachel Newman (36th) claimed third. |
There was also team success for the under 15 girls, where Charlotte Watkins was the individual winner. Megan Foley found the going tough in fourth, just in front of teammate Robyn Matson who placed fifth. Vicky Smith placed 11th to complete the scoring four who romped to victory with their 21 point total. The B team of Robyn Delivett (18th), Carley Mottram (27th), Charlene Glover (28th) and Carmel Munson (29th) placed fourth.
| Ashley Reece ran away with the Under 13 boys event finishing 37 secs ahead of Matthew Watkins who repeated his runners-up placing, just holding off Thurrock's Paul Bumpstead. With Joe Webster 20th and Lee Hatch 26th the quartet placed second in the team event, one place higher than the u15 foursome of Ashley Robert (11th), Joe Golding (12th), Danny Skelt (19th) and Martyn Chambers (21st). The under 17 boys lost out on a possible runners-up spot as Rob Howe pulled a hamstring when lying in eight, with the incomplete team of Andrew Hunter (9th), Martin Heys (10th) and Daryl Rogers (19th). |

The senior men packed well and may have repeated their third placing from round one. The improving Graham Pritchard was rewarded with 11th place with Mat bland in 19th, just ahead of second-claim member Ryan Prout, still a junior.
