The National YAL team need nothing less than victory in their final fixture in three weeks time if they are to hold onto their Premier Division status after bringing up the rear at Norwich on Sunday.

Jimi Tele (100m) and Andrew Kerr (hammer) provided the A string wins for the U15 Men,. Tele was second in the long jump, as was Adam Samuel in the 400m, and Daniel Wood was also runner up in the 400m B. Kerr (hammer) and Danny Wilson (discus) provided A string second places, and Luke Overton added a B string javelin second place to his B shot & discus double success.

Jack Edgar-Hill, (100mH), Gabriel Makinwa (TJ) and Emmanuel Quarshie (SP) gained wins for the u17 Men and Adam McCarthy (SP), Kieran Nelson (400mH) and Chris Lowe ('chase) added B wins.

Andy Lewis nabbed second place slots in both 200 & 400m A races as did McCarthy in the B 400m hurdles. Terry Hughes in the A high jump and B triple jump and Georgie Bean in the A javelin & B Discus also placed second, as did Joseph Waked (1500m B) and Nelson again (100m H).

Newcomers Luke Jarrett & Alex Law 's 200m double was the only max for the U13 boys, with both second in the shorter sprint. Lee Jarrold (high jump) and Mitch Chesterton (1500m B) added more runners up points..

For the depleted u17 women’s quad  Kike Oniwinde's javelin & shot double and Esther Tele's long jump win were the top results, and Tele again in the B shot & 100m B and her A string sprint partner Lydia St Ange provided second place points. Amy Cox was second in the hammer.

Rachel Sadler & Laura Drew's B wins in the 800m & discus added little comfort for the U15 girls, as Eleanor Bunds (800m), Rebecca O’Neil (1500) and Nicola Peachey (75m hurdles and high jump) placed second in their A events. Shelley Wilson scored a A discus & B shot runners up double and Laura Drew was second in the B javelin

Jess Fazakerley's equal first in the B high jump was the best points for the quartet of U13 girls. Sacha Martin’s high jump second place was the only other top two finish.
