The Senior Southern League teams signed off their season on a high note when they finished a fine second at Norwich on Saturday.

The ladies squad contributed thirteen victories. Rachel Forder and Georgie Taylor scored full points to dominate the shot and discus with Rachel taking the A shot and Georgie the B, while Georgie was the discus A victor and Rachel the B. Georgie was also close to her 400m best.

Claire Brennan and Flic Clarke won both 100m hurdles events and added more points to the cause. Flic won the B steeplechase, was second in the B 400m hurdles and scored in the 100m sprint, while Claire was second in the B high jump, third in the 400m hurdles, and fourth in the long jump.  Kate Cowley added a double with wins in both pole vault & triple jump, and was third in the 200m. 

Vicky Smith as always came up trumps, setting new career best marks in the 3000m for second, winning the 1500m, before improving her 1500m 'chase best for victory. Megan Foley made a welcome return to club colours with a win in the 800m B event and runners up in the 1500m.  Emma Christmas won the B javelin, as Debbie Knight was second in the A, and Emma also took runners up spot in the hammer and scored in the 100m. Nina Brennan was second in the B hammer and third in the 400m,  and Katie O'Sullivan improved her season's best in the high jump and filled a gap in the 800m for third. Tina Quinlivan was third in the vault and Ellie Watson completed the line up with points in the long and triple jumps and 200m.

The men provided nine wins, eight individual successes and the sprint relay. Isaac Ogunlade had two comfortable wins in the 200m and 400m hurdles and his B string partners both made it doubles in these events. Richard Holland won the B 200m, as well as the B long jump and second in the B 100m, while Adam McCarthy added B string 400m honours to his B 110m hurdles success.  Josh Olawore won the long jump, and was also second in the B discus with A string hurdler Jeremy Watson was also victorious and was second in both the high jump and triple jump.

Arron Bonning won the B vault, with Phil Groombridge second in the A, and Arron added points in the triple jump, shot and hammer.  Danny Wilson second in the discus B.  Another second place came from Adam Wileman in the 'chase, and he contributed 400m B third place points, with Massi Dendani also third in the A, while Jake Nelson was second in the B high jump and third in the B 'chase. Ian Anthony added a pair of third place points in the 5000m and 1500m B, with Jamie Buckley-Stanton third in the 1500m A competition. Pat Lear was second in the B javelin, with A string Sam Harrison third, and Sam was fourth in both the shot & hammer.

The sprint relay team of Isaac Ogunlade, Richard Holland, Alex Law & Jeremy Watson came home first and the 4x400m quartet of Adam McCarthy, Josh Olawore, Massi Dendani & Isaac Ogunlade

Winning hosts Norwich climbed clear of relegation, and were just 6.5 points ahead of Havering Mayesbrook who notched up their highest score of the year to finish the season mid-table in eighth place.
