Second place at Dartford, five points behind the hosts, meant a successful conclusion to the Havering Southern League team's season.

The strong ladies team notched up 13 individual wins & a relay victory. Michelle Hughes contributed three wins and a leg of the winning relay team. She opened her account with a near solo winning run in the 400m hurdles, improved her best for a shot victory and added full points in the 200m before setting up a win for the 4x400m squad of Nina Brennan, Chloe van Wulven and Heidi Surman-Wells with a fast opening leg. All had already celebrated wins themselves with Nina winning the B discus, as well as setting a season's best in the 400m and a hammer PB, Chloe won the B high jump and was runner up in the sprint hurdles and B triple jump, and Heidi won the 400m A race. Sarah Wilson comfortably won the 1500m after placing second in the 800m, with Clare Davis winning the 800m B.

Claire Brennan improved her season's best in winning the 400m hurdles B race and also won the B shot. More field events success came from wins by Tina Quinlivan (pole vault), Rachel Forder (discus) and Kate Cowley (B javelin) while Emma Christmas was runner up in the A javelin & B hammer. Bethan Siddons was second in the high jump, long jump & sprint hurdles and third in the triple jump, and Rachel Kerr's dip for the line brought her 200m runners up spot. An unwell Lucy Bailey fulfilled her commitment to the team in the 100m.

There were eight individual wins and a sprint relay victory for the men. Josh Olawore uncorked a brilliant last round long jump leap to add a centimetre to his career best measured at 7.49m and also won the 100m and anchored the sprint relay team to victory. Nathan Steele won the B 100m but was edged out in the 200m, and Timi Kuye also had to settle for second in the 200m A race. Both were in the winning sprint relay squad, as was John Adekoya who added high jump & triple jump points.

Sixteen year-old Ben Davis's last lap surge brought a good victory in the 1500m on his league debut, Georgie Bean & Sam Harrison took full points in the javelin A & B events, Alex Law won the B long jump and was shot runner up, while Gintalas Varanauskas marked his club debut with a high jump victory. Tom Pitkin set new PBs in both the 400m & 400m hurdles, winning the flat race and finishing second over the barriers, and more runners up points were earned by Ed Thompson (pole vault), Danny Wilson (shot & discus), Michael Duncan (400m) & Matt Owers (400m hurdles). Michael and Matt, joined Tom Pitkin & Paul Kavanagh in the second place 4x400m quartet.

Third places went to the 800m pairing of Paul Kavanagh & George Dixon (PB), Alex Goodacre (discus PB), Jack Noons (pole vault),  Matt Braybrook ('chase), Sydney Conteh (sprint hurdles) and Jason Crispin (5000m B) while Matt Bland scored in both 5000m & 1500m.

Victory on the day earned Dartford one of the two promotion spots, while Havering's second place finish above higher placed Croydon & Herts Phoenix confirmed their position in the top half of the table.
