Lucy Sargent showed she is back to her best with a brace of silver medals in the sprints. On Saturday she clocked one of her fastest ever 100m times in placing runner up to her old rival Milton Keynes’ Joey Duck in 11.78s. And on Sunday Duck again got the upper hand in the 200m where Lucy dipped below 24s with 23.99s.
Sara Luck’s fine steeplechase debut year continued as she won gold in the 2000m event in a new Championship Best Performance inside 6 minutes again.
Nicola Hill recorded her second fastest 400m hurdles time of her career when she took U20 silver in 61.05s. Georgie Bean added U20 javelin bronze with 52.67m throw. Another bronze came from Harriet Scott who was very close to her PB with 2:06.61s
Kike Oniwinde broke her week-old U17 & U20 javelin record when she launched the 600kg spear 43.73m to finish fourth in the U20 event.
Other finalists were Mel Harrison (4th – discus & shot), Chloe van Wulven (fifth – senior 100m hurdles), Brad Reece was 6th in the u20 hammer, Emmanuel Quarshie (5th U20 shot), Adam McCarthy (6th – U20 400m hurdles) & Emma Christmas 6th and Sam Harrison 8th in the women’s and men’s senior javelin respectively.
