With only two members from the squad from the last match taking part the Div III squad always faced an uphill task against unbeaten hosts Bedford. Due to everyone's contribution the finished a deserved second and are midway in the league and with two matches left look like avoiding the recent annual battles to hold onto their divisional place..

Kieran Nelson remarkably was the only individual winner on his senior debut setting the standard with wins in 400m hurdles A string and 110m hurdles B string. He also competed in the 200 and relay.

Also making his senior debut after a long layoff was John Whitehead who competing well in the 100, 400 and both relays. The Shanney twins also made their senior debuts - Daniel in the 400 and 800 and Thomas doing the 800 and Long Jump with both doing the relays.

Simon Richards made his comeback after injury to run a good 200m and the 4x100 relay. Paul Berrett after spending much time in traffic competed well in the 1500 being rewarded with second place.

Another stuck in traffic was the team mascot "Bulldog" Martin Chester who with no warm up and on a hot day contested the 5000m, 3000sc and the 1500m scoring what was to be valuable points.

Team manager Kevin White managed to pick up points in the Javelin, Shot, Hammer and Discus. Taking annual leave to help the team was the ever reliable former decathlete Arron Bonning who did a remarkable 10 events in the afternoon for the cause.
