The 12 athletes of Havering Mayesbrook performed magnificently and were narrowly beaten into third place in the first Southern Men's League match of the season at Watford on Saturday. Despite this there is plenty to look forward to as many PBs were set. 

Isaac Ogunlade started proceedings winning a swift 400m hurdles and having a competitive 200m and 4x4 and a victory in the 4x1. Ammad Masood set PBs in the 100 & 200m winning the latter and enjoyed a win with the 4x1 team.

Ian Price had good runs in the 1500 and getting a PB in the 400m. Neill Collins had very competitive run in the 800 and the 4x400.

Simon Richards ran a superb PB in winning the 400m before competing in the 4x400.

Evergreen Paul Berrett answered the call and ran a fast 800m before contesting the steeplechase. Bradley Burr had a very good javelin series winning the competition. Kieran Nelson had a good workout in the LJ then winning both hurdles, TJ and the 4x1.

Joseph Waked made his senior debut with a PB in the 1500 and a good leg in the 4x400. Darron Keevil had good results in the Hammer, shot and discus.

Less than a week after completing the London Marathon Arron competed in another marathon on the track contesting the PV, HJ, Hammer, LJ, Javelin, Shot, TJ, Discus culminating in a win in the 110mh.
