The Havering Mayesbrook Southern Women's League squad overcame gaps in some events to over power their opponents as they comfortably won their Division 1 fixture from hosts Chelmsford on Saturday.

The under 15s were again in dominant form, chalking up no less than 14 wins out of the 21 events, including a trio hat-trick heroes  with three wins apiece. Louise Yard's hat-trick came in the throws where after winning the shot she went on to spin the discus out close to 30m for a new PB to win the A competition, before finishing off with a B javelin success with a new landmark throw. The A string javelin was won by Lauren McVicar, who had earlier won the B 100m and A 200m. The third athlete with a win treble was McVicar's sprint partner Lucy Sargent who powered to victories in the A 100m and 200m B - the latter in an impressive new PB of 26.2s, in an event she rarely tackles. Sargent also leapt to a long jump victory, with her B string partner Lisa Schofield also tasting success. She also outclassed her 75m hurdles opponents for a superb A string victory, in another sub-12 secs clocking, and gained shot points in a new PB. Not satisfied with their afternoon's work Schofield, Sargent and McVicar combined with Nicola Hill, who had stepped up from the u13 ranks to take third in the hurdles, for a sprint relay victory at the end of the meeting.

The powerful u15s also had a win double in the 800m as Katie Richardson equalled her PB with a front-running victory, and Amie Adams came from behind to take the B event, setting a new personal record, before gaining 2nd place B discus points. Completing the line up were u13s Bethan Siddons who equalled her PB in placing 2nd in the high jump and Michaela Roberts who was third in the 1500m.

Team captain Debbie Sullivan led the senior ladies to 9 wins, herself contributing a powerful 1500m win and a 400m relay leg. There was double success for the siblings Claire and Nina Brennan who took A and B prizes in the 100m hurdles, Claire running her fastest time this year. Nina also won the B 400m hurdles, while Claire equalled her PB in the A string, finishing third. Claire also gained second place points in the javelin and ran a sprint relay leg, while Nina gained B discus points.

Sarah Deacon and Mel Harrison won a hammer A & B double, and also both scored well in the shot, while Sarah added a javelin PB and discus points. Another field event double was recorded in the high jump as u17 pairing Chloe Van Wulven and Katie O'Sullivan took the A & B honours. Both were in hurdles action with O'Sullivan slicing one second off her 300m hurdles PB and Van Wulven a class apart in the 80m sprint version. Nicola Schofield was 2nd in the A 300m hurdles and partnered Van Wulven to a sprint hurdles double, before running a relay leg.

Lynsey Clark triple jumped over 10m for the first time this year to win the A event, with Hannah Gamester runner-up in the B competition. Gamester equalled her PB and club pole vault record of 2.30m and exceeded 5m in the long jump.

Megan Foley smashed her 400m PB and dipped under the minute barrier for the first time clocking 59.5s in second, while Lesley Felton clocked her fastest time this summer in third in the 800m. Laura Jones also set season's bests in both sprints and u17 Sarah-Jane Moore mixed it with the seniors and came away with new best marks. Completing the line up were Robyn Delivett, who set a new 400m PB in the B race, and 3000m runners Ellie Mole and Laura Moore who battled against the breeze to earn valuable points.
