The Southern Women's League team made it two wins in two fixtures as they beat league leaders Aldershot in their second round fixture at Milton Keynes on Saturday.

Mel Harrison turned in an all-star performance with a quartet of wins in the shot, discus & hammer, plus B string javelin. It was the best set of results she has put together on the same day, with shot & hammer efforts close to her all-time bests and good quality throws in both discus and javelin.

Nicola Hill added a hat-trick of victories with wins in both 100m and 200m sprints - the latter a new PB and stepped in to win the B discus with a respectable effort.

Emma Christmas's fine form continued as she set another new PB to win the javelin, and also took full B hammer points and scored in the high jump. Claire Brennan won both 100 flat & 100m hurdles and a track double also came from Katie Richardson & Nina Brennan in the 400m.  Nina also earned second place in the B shot.

Wins for Cathy Matthews (100m H B) and Robyn Delivett (B 200m) ensured doubles in those events.  Cathy was also second in the 400m Hurdles and third in the triple jump.

Danielle Ross added 15 cms to her pole vault PB to go second on the club all time list, finishing runner up on the day, and added high jump points.

Vicky Smith returned from injury to gallantly tackle all three middle distance events - 5300m in total - with second places in both B 800 and 1500m and third in the 3000m A. Angela Thompson improved her PB to place second in the 3000m B, and Hayley Pegg (1500m) and Ingrid Deane (800m) completed the winning squad who look on track for promotion if the results keep coming in the remaining three fixtures.
