Sara Luck wins ESAA XC Cup for third time

Sara Luck, made it a trio of victories in the competition as she won the English Schools Cross Country Cup competition for the third consecutive year at Tadcaster, Yorkshire yesterday. Already the winner in the Junior Girls' event for the last two years Sara stepped up to win the Intermediate Girls race by a seven second margin. The Brentwood Ursuline team, which also included sprinter Laura Jones in 120th, placed 11th.

Two HMAC athletes were in action for the Brentwood Ursuline Junior Girls', Charlotte Wood placing 27th and Kayleigh Brown 42nd as the team placed sixth.

The Campion Junior Boys' Team placed fifth in the same competition, largely aided by HMAC Athletes. Paul Andrews was the leading runner for the Hornchurch School in 16th, with David Nefs 26th, Aaron Churchouse 34th and Jay Ryan completing the scoring four in 37th. Chris Driscoll (56th) and Andrew Luck (88th) were the other Campion competitors.
