Eastern Young Athletes League - Ipswich - Sunday 29 July 2001

Havering Mayesbrook Eastern young team travelled to Ipswich for their fourth match, against some very low opposition Havering came out easy winners even with a depleted team.  Havering remain the only unbeaten team with only one match remaining at Basildon.


In the girls u13s Lisa Schofield had a great day, setting two p.bs in the 70m hurdles and discus. Louise Yard was also a double winner in the shot and discus. Amy Adams won the 1500m in a new p.b. In the girls u15s Christina Kalejaiye performed well again setting new p.b.s in the 100m and 200m.


In the girls u17s Sara Luck, Caroline Smith and Mary Munson all had a hat-trick of wins, Elle Crush set a new personal best in the high jump and the relay team of Sara Luck, Michelle Haley, Elle Crush and Nicola Schofield were
runaway winners. 


In the boys u13s there were double winners from David Vincent, Ross Clark and Jay Ryan. In the u15s Andrew Bartlett was again in tremendous form with three wins in the 100m, 200m and 400 metres. Scott Keating had three wins and set a p.b in
the high jump and Danny Skelt also was a triple winner. These three then teamed up with James Gregory to easily win the relay.


In the u17s Adam Cook won both the 100m and with a p.b the 100m hurdles, Mark Connelly set a new p.b in winning the long jump and also won the high jump. The quartet of Peter Phillips, Bob Thanda, Tom Gregory and Greg Smith ran out
winners in the relay.
